Weekly on Mondays
These Morning Movement sessions will be led by Rachele Rapisardi. The sessions will encompass guided movement and improvisation, focusing on breath and physical freedom. Participants will be inspired by an energising selection of music. All levels of experience are welcome.
Morning Movement classes are free to attend, but registration is essential. If you are able to, we suggest a donation of £3-£5 per class/workshop. Donations will help Clod Ensemble to continue our dynamic multidisciplinary work with freelance creatives, artists and educators. However, you will still be able to attend these sessions without a donation.
This event will take place online via Zoom. Participants will receive the link to the Zoom for the session once attendance is confirmed.
Rachele Rapisardi trained at Rotterdam’s University for the Arts. After relocating to London to join Jeanne Yasko’s Edge11, Rapisardi then worked with companies and independent choreographers such as Lost Dog (Ben Duke), Protein Dance (Luca Silvestrini), Clod Ensemble, Emanuel Gat and others.
Since obtaining an MA in Performing Arts in 2015, Rapisardi has developed her freelance career as a dancer, teacher and rehearsal director. She also leads a variety of community activities and works as an associate director with Protein Dance.
This event is part of Reboot: Spring Workshop Season. Taking in masterclasses, events and more, Reboot: Spring Workshop Season continues Clod Ensemble’s ongoing desire to create evocative, ambitious performance work as well as offer award-winning educational, skills-sharing and talent development initiatives.
In keeping with previous Reboot seasons, the Spring Workshop Season offers arts practitioners and curious minds the opportunity to learn from world class artists, meet other cultural workers and develop new ways to engage with their creative practices.
Much of the season takes place at our studios in North Greenwich. The range of in-person workshops on offer includes single-day sessions focussed on practical upskilling, weekend-long courses with award-winning theatre directors and designers, and a series helmed by Clod Ensemble’s Co-Artistic Director Suzy Willson which delves deep into a movement-based creative process.
As well as encouraging participants to learn, think and engage with creativity in novel ways, Reboot: Spring Workshop Season will also see the return of our popular Morning Movement classes. Conducted over Zoom and led by artists specialising in yoga, meditation and dance, these free sessions offer half an hour of invigorating movement with which to begin the day.
