Reboot: Behind the scenes, screen and lens

A shot of the side of stage at Sadlers Wells, with the door to outside open so that the street is visible. It is dark outside and we can see a street lamp. The inside of the theatre is dimly lit and we see a collection of technical equipment - a sound desk, a laptop, a chair and a collection of theatre lamps on stands.

Reboot: Behind the scenes, screen and lens

Women, trans and non-binary people are massively under- represented within backstage roles in theatre, film and music. This needs to change!

For this Reboot season Clod Ensemble joins forces with Petok Productions, a company led by our Production and Technical Associate Pembe Tokluhan, that aims to diversify the production industry and pave the way for under-represented people to build a career in backstage roles.

This programme of workshops is offered exclusively to people who identify as women, trans and non-binary, and are interested in developing a career in backstage roles. The sessions will be free to attend.

Each Reboot workshop will focus on a different role, and will be led by an industry professional covering lighting design, sound design, music production, tour management and production co-ordination. These are introductory sessions for people who may not have considered these roles previously or just have an interest in finding out more about them.
