This session explores what the role of a Lighting Designer involves, from the process of creating a lighting design to collaborating with the creative team. We will look at techniques used to light both theatre and dance. If you’ve got any specific questions, please do bring them to the session. This workshop will take place online via zoom.

Prema Mehta (She/Her) is a theatre lighting designer with 15+ years of experience. She is the founder of Stage Sight, a sector support organisation which works to improve representation across all offstage roles. Prema was nominated in the Theatre & Performance category at the H100 Awards, recognising the UK’s creative talent. She is a Fellow of ABTT and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
