Wall - Study One

Wall is an ongoing series of short movement studies undertaken with dance artists at Clod Ensemble Studios.

In each study a single dancer moves against a white wall.

 

In ‘Wall – Study One’ (2021) Maëva Berthelot moves across the wall as if making a diagram or drawing. The wall becomes a blank canvas for spare, striking gestures and shapes. 

Paul Clark’s score responds closely to the movement with violin played by Damsel Elysium (Associate Artist, Clod Ensemble).
