Sessions:

11:00 – 12:30 Introduction followed by a guided browse (in-person)

14:00 – 15:30 Introduction followed by a guided browse (in-person)

Explore our performance archive, browse three decades of rehearsal notebooks, scores, marketing, technical notes and reference materials. Visit our studios to explore the development of Clod Ensemble’s form and method of working.

Clod Ensemble’s archives contain contributions from Artistic Directors Suzy Willson and Paul Clark, and from our frequent collaborators and independent artists.

Our Open Day offers the opportunity to uncover the ways that movement and sound can be studied, embodied, recycled, reinterpreted. Materials may be of interest to – academics, students, independent artists and performance makers. Join a welcome session to be introduced to our collection. You can then explore the collection in your own time, guided by our team.

Material includes notebooks, interviews, musical scores (in both recorded and notated form), postcards, photographs, newspaper and magazine cuttings, videos, programmes, artwork prints, correspondence, reports, choreographic notes, concept notes, scripts, technical documents, marketing and teaching materials.

This event is a part of Choreozone, Clod Ensemble’s multi-year project supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Choreozone focuses on the sharing and reinterpretation of Clod Ensemble’s rich multimedia archive.
