Metamorphoses - Audio Page

The score for Metamorphoses was played live and unamplified. Rough recordings were made in a rehearsal room in Hackney, London, just before we began rehearsing a new version of the piece in 1997. They were used as a reference recording whenever the band weren’t in the rehearsal room.

  1. Prelude

This clip is the first two minutes of the piece. In the show, the music accompanies a chorus movement sequence.

  1. Lycian Peasants (Extract)

This scene was a knockabout piece of physical comedy. The score was constantly shifting genre – as it often did in this piece.
