19:30 – 21:00 // BOOK HERE

Since our first production, Feast During the Plague  in 1995, we have been fascinated by the relationship between performance and medicine and the different ways of looking at, and understanding, flesh and bones.

This event is a rare opportunity to see material from Kiss My Echo  (2002), Must  (2007), Under Glass  (2007), An Anatomie in Four Quarters  (2011) and Placebo  (2017).

Fantastic dancers including Elisabeth Mulenga, Fukiko Takase and Valerie Ebuwa will recreate fragments of performance, joined by singer Melanie Papenheim and violinist Rakhi Singh. Alex Mermikides and Gianna Bouchard who have written widely about performance and medicine will be there to help navigate this visceral terrain.

Arrive early and/or stay late to look at films and research materials from the archive. Clod Ensemble bar will be open!

This event is a part of Choreozone, Clod Ensemble’s multi-year project supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Choreozone  focuses on the sharing and reinterpretation of Clod Ensemble’s rich multimedia archive.
