Catalyser Call out

Are you aged 18-25?
Do you live in Greenwich, Hackney or Newham?
Do you want to get paid whilst developing your skills in movement, performance, music or design?

Catalyser is a 25-day, paid, creative training programme for emerging performance makers who have experienced barriers to participating in the arts. You’ll get ongoing skills development opportunities, mentoring and career support from the Clod Ensemble team and industry experts, as well use of the space and facilities for your artistic development. It will take place in Autumn 2022, at Clod Ensemble Studios in North Greenwich.

You will be given a bursary of £1,000 to participate, develop your creative skills, create new career pathways and be agents of positive social change. You will receive bespoke training and mentoring from Artistic Directors Suzy Willson and Paul Clark and our Associate Artists. Alongside creative skills development, you will take part in practical workshops on fundraising, networking, finances, self-producing and engaging local communities. You will also have access to Clod Ensemble Studios, where you’ll be able to develop your own work, industry networks, peer-to-peer learning and support.

Catalyser aims to connect young artists with each other and with established artists – encourage a new generation to make genre-defying work which is rooted in respectful collaboration.

Clod Ensemble are committed to overcoming any barriers to access and participation our artists may face, and want to support the next generation of creatives to have a career in the arts, whatever their life experience. We have created Catalyser as an opportunity for young people who feel they are experiencing or have experienced barriers to participating in the arts. This could be due to socio-economic background, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, nationality, ethnic origin or disability.
