Anatomy in Motion and at Rest

10.DECEMBER.2017 • 10:30 - 17:00

Jerwood Space
171 Union Street
London, SE1 0LN

Part of Reboot, our artist development programme.

This workshop aims to help performers look after themselves to avoid injury or stress. Leon Baugh will introduce you to some basic massage techniques and Anatomy in Motion exercises which can be used to warm up or warm down in the rehearsal room. Anatomy in Motion (AiM) is a new way of looking at the relationship between pain and the way your body moves. The system has been developed by Gary Ward, an expert in human movement and anatomy.

Leon Baugh started his career as an international touring contemporary dancer, and went on to become an Olivier Award winning theatre choreographer. He is a qualified osteopath, Anatomy in Motion practitioner, acupuncturist and sports injury massage therapist, with a wide-ranging client base including Sadler’s Wells and Sylvie Guillem. Leon has worked with CLOD ENSEMBLE both as a performer and Associate Artist on our Performing Medicine programme.

Anatomy in Motion and at Rest is free to attend but places are limited. If you are interested in taking part, please send your CV and an expression of interest to reboot@clodensemble.com by Monday 27 November, 10am.
