Metamorphoses

Metamorphoses is based on a handful of myths from Ovid’s epic poem including ‘Narcissus and Echo’ and ‘The Sybil of Cumae’.

Women weep themselves into streams; the lament of forlorn lovers transforms them into flowers; noblemen are infected with madness and stupid men are turned into frogs.

Nine actors and seven musicians join forces to tell a selection of extraordinary tales from Ovid’s masterpiece.

The 1997 tour of Metamorphoses featured an original text by Peter Oswald.
