Performing Medicine:
Associate Artist Freelance position

We are looking to expand our pool of Associate Artists to deliver our courses. The work is on a freelance basis- as and when we need people to deliver courses. Some courses are one-offs and some are delivered regularly across the year. All Associate Artists will receive general training in Performing Medicine’s approach and principles, as well as design and planning sessions for specific courses. Associate Artists are paid for training, design and delivery.

Person specification

You should be an artist with a background in performing or visual arts, experienced in facilitating and leading practical workshops. The Performing Medicine programme leads workshops with groups of 6-22 participants, ranging from first year medical students (aged 18) to senior NHS professionals – Consultants, Nurses, Managers. You must be experienced in facilitating workshops of this size, with participants from non-arts backgrounds. You may have worked in other applied arts contexts, such as schools, prisons or other community settings.

Fee: £200/£300 per day, £150/£200 per half day, depending on the type of activity.
